Tax Refund Service
Over one in three clients using our service receives a tax refund. So far we have recovered over £90 million on behalf of our clients, a figure that continues to grow significantly every year!
Our service is simple - we aim to ensure that employees on PAYE have paid the correct amount of tax and have the right tax code. A short questionnaire helps us start the process and allows us to determine whether you could be due a tax refund.
If you can answer YES to any of these questions, there’s a good chance you could be due a tax refund.
In the last 4 years have you…….
- Paid income tax?
- Had more than one job?
- Paid subscriptions to a professional organisation?
- Used your own car as part of your job?
- Been required to work from home some, or all of the time?
- Been required to provide tools for your job?
- Been required to launder workwear provided by your employer?
- Received more than one notice of coding within a tax year?
Your employer deducts tax straight from your wages following the guidelines set by H M Revenue & Customs according to your tax code. In our experience, over 40% of employees have paid too much tax at some time in the last 4 years simply because their tax code was incorrect. The Tax Refund Company will check your tax codes for each of the last 4 years and in the event we believe you have had the wrong code, will liaise with H M Revenue & Customs to request that they pay back the money you are owed.
Our confidential tax refund service is offered on the following basis:
- No tax refund = No fee
- For every £1.00 refunded, you receive 59 pence
- No minimum fee
- No hidden charges
- No long legal contracts
- Our guarantee – No Refund = NO FEE.
Our Tax Refund Service is offered to 90% of the UK’s 6million+ Trade Union members, by unions that include UNISON, UNITE, the NUT, RMT, USDAW, ATL, GMB, NASUWT, UFS, and the BFAWU, professional bodies such as The Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists, Society of Radiographers, Association of Optometrists, Royal College of Nursing, Local Authorities, Police Federations and major employers including John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Iceland, Lookers, and Peacocks.
In the very unlikely event that we discover you have not paid enough tax, we will inform you. It is then up to you to notify HM Revenue & Customs. However, if we believe that you do not have to repay some or all of this money, (there are a number of reasons why this may be the case) then we will liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on your behalf. Our normal fee structure will apply.
